Hefajat to stage countrywide demo Nov 1

Hefajat-e Islam today announced new agitation programme including countrywide demonstration on November 1 to protest against the government's move which they termed as 'control the Kawmi madrasa'.
The Chittagong-based Islamist orgainsation will also hold a grand rally at Hathazari Madrasa ground on November 2 and grand rallies in all divisional cities on November 15 to press home its 13-ponits demands.
The organisation has recently been campaigning to realise its 13-point demand that includes stern punishment to bloggers for “defaming” Islam and Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
Addressing a press conference at Hathazari Madrasa Complex, Azizul Haque Islamabadi, organising secretary of the group, announced the programme, where its ameer Shah Ahmed Shafi was also present.
After the press conference Shafi told the journalists that there will be bloodshed if government tries to control the Kawmi madrasa by enacting new law.
It can be mentioned that the government is about to enact a law titled 'Kawmi Madrasa Shikkha Kortripokkho Ain 2013' (religious-based education authority law 2013) to bring the madrasa education under a rules and regulation.
