ICT concerned over PW security
A special court in Dhaka today expressed concern over the security of the prosecution witnesses in the war crimes cases.
The International Crimes Tribunal-1 also wanted to know what measures the prosecution has taken to provide securities to their witnesses.
The ICT-1 led by Justice ATM Fazle Kabir also suggested the prosecutors to file an appeal to the tribunal for providing security to the witnesses.
The concern came following the death of a prosecution witness in the war crimes trial of Jamaat-e-Islami leader Delawar Hossain Sayedee.
Mostafa Hawlader, who testified against Jamaat leader Delawar Sayedee, was hacked at his Pirojpur residence on Sunday.
Mostafa succumbed to his head injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital early today.
