Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak
Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak will arrive in Dhaka tomorrow for a three-day official visit mainly to inaugurate a hospital with his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina.
Sources at the foreign ministry said Razak, who is due to arrive at 7:30pm today from Colombo after attending the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), will jointly inaugurate the “Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Memorial Specialised Hospital and Nursing College” at Gazipur with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Monday morning.
A noted Malaysian company namely KPJ, which has reputation in health sector, will be in charge of the operation and management of the hospital.
According to the foreign ministry officials, the Malaysian premier is coming to Bangladesh at the invitation of Hasina, who made the invitation to Najib during the United Nations (UN) General Assembly in September.
As per the programme schedule, the Malaysian PM will hold official talks with Hasina Monday at 4:00pm at Prime Minister’s Office when they will discuss different bilateral issues, including manpower export and Malaysian investment in Bangladesh.
Foreign Minister Dipu Moni and Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain will make separate call on with the Malaysian prime minister at his Sonargaon Hotel suit Monday.
Najib is due to leave Dhaka for Kuala Lumpur in the morning of November 19.
