When fashion meets music
A day without music is a day wasted. In beginning with this line I believe I am resonating the feelings of millions in our country. Many a youth has toiled away hours learning to play the guitar, mastering the drums, making notes flow from the flute or even go as far as taking up an eclectic mix of household objects in pursuit of playing percussion. Music for many people is a means of life -- a canvas for expressing their aspirations. So what happens when you put music and fashion together? One comes up with avant-garde ideas such as the upcoming project by LiveSquare where they have aimed at bringing together Arbovirus -- a local alternative rock band full of young, burgeoning, adults who are dynamic and brimming with new and esoteric ideas -- and Sprint by Apex, which is a youth-oriented fashion brand to launch a new line of shoes keeping music and fashion in mind. LiveSquare is bringing in a novel concept in our country where they are bridging previously unrelated ideas to the world of music. With many projects boasting of their success they have ushered in a new era of music lovers who keep fashion in mind as well. They have also launched custom-made t-shirts that you can customise to your liking and will be your armour of choice when heading over to concerts, music shows, wireless sessions, etc. LiveSquare is also responsible for projects such as Greenitiative, The Soul Festival, ALICE in Wonderland!, The Wireless Sessions, "RAPsody" -- Urban Youth Festival Concert where foreign artists from different countries collaborated with local bands such as Lalon, Chirkut, Indalo along with many other local artists. Along with this, they have also launched a free digital album, music videos and so on. The new range of shoes now being launched by Sprint in collaboration with Arbovirus will be a fresh and innovative concept in the world of both fashion and music in Bangladesh, although this has been fairly common practice in foreign countries. With Arbovirus featuring these shoes which will be both exclusive and custom-made, Sprint is aiming to grab the eyes of the youth. “The idea behind bringing them into this venture with Sprint was to connect music with fashion on a whole new level which has never been done before in our country,” says Rezaul Karim Chowdhury of LiveSquare. So next time when the musician inside you is craving a fashionable and chic look you know where to head to. With your custom-made T-shirts featuring the band or logo of your choice, and shoes from Sprint, the music shall play on.
