A robot fractured a seven-year-old boy's finger during a chess tournament in Moscow last week, BBC reports citing Russian news agencies.

Sergey Lazarev, president of the Moscow Chess Federation said "The robot broke the child's finger. Of course, this is bad."

The robot is seen taking one of the boy's pieces in a video that was posted on social media. The robot then grabs the boy's finger when he makes a further move, reports BBC.

The video shows four adults rushing to help the boy, who is eventually freed and ushered away. Lazarev said the machine played many previous matches without incident.
