Congratulations Mashrafe!
Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, the heroic skipper of the Tigers, has reached a great milestone as Bangladesh have won three consecutive home-series under his brilliant leadership.
The “Narail Express” was made the ODI captain in last September before the Zimbabwe series after his long absence from the field due to injuries.
Since then, Bangladesh have played three series against Zimbabwe, Pakistan and India at home, and won all of them with two “Banglawash” against Zimbabwe and Pakistan.
In the five-match series against Zimbabwe on the eve of 2014, the Tigers performed so well that the visiting side could cross the 200-run mark only once. In the series, Mashrafe also bagged nine wickets.
Following the 2015 World Cup, Bangladesh hosted a three-match series against Pakistan in April.
The Tigers, led by Mashrafe, finished the series 3-0, whitewashing their Asian rival Pakistan for the first time in their history.
One month later, Bangladesh hosted a three-match series against their Asian neighbour India, to whom they lost in the 2015 World Cup quarter finals.
Mashrafe once again proved his worth, winning the series 2-1.
Meanwhile, the Tigers have won 10 consecutive matches at home under the terrific leadership of Mashrafe Mortaza.
