Kuwait Army chief lauds Dhaka's role in UN peace-keeping force
Chief of Staff of Kuwait armed forces Lt Gen Ali Mohammad Al-Moumen yesterday lauded the role of Bangladesh armed forces personnel in UN peace-keeping forces as well as those Bangladeshis who are serving in other fields in his country, report agencies.
The visiting Kuwait Army chief conveyed this when he called on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her Sangsad Bhaban office.
Earlier, General Ali conveyed greetings of Kuwait Ameer to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He appreciated an excellent relationship existing between the two countries. "Relations between the two armed forces are also very good," said General Ali Mohammad Al-Moumen.
He appreciated the contribution of the Bangladeshis working in various sectors in his country. "They are very disciplined and sincere."
The Prime Minister told the General to convey her greetings to the Ameer of Kuwait. She said she was happy to know that a good number of people are working in the Gulf country.
Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister Dr SA Samad, Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Mustafizur Rahman, PSO Maj General Imamuzzaman and the Kuwaiti Ambassador in Dhaka were present on the occasion.
