President, PM felicitates Than Shwe

President Iajuddin Ahmed and Prime Minister Khaleda Zia felicitated Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council and Prime Minister of Myanmar, senior general Than Shwe on the occasion of his country's Independence Day.

In a message to Than Swe, Iajuddin expressed his firm belief that the existing friendly relations between Dhaka and Yangon would be cemented further in the years to come.

He wished the friendly people of Myanmar continued peace, progress and prosperity.

Khaleda Zia, in her message, expressed her confidence that the existing friendship and cooperation that mark the relations between the two countries would continue to strengthen in the years ahead to the mutual benefits of the two nations.
