Advance Eid ticket sale starts
Private bus operators have started selling advance tickets for home-goers this Eid.
Tickets were put on sale from this morning and people in good numbers were seen buying tickets at different bus counters throughout Dhaka.
"We began selling from 6:00am from our Technical point counter," Kaisar Ahmed Bipul, manager of National Travels told The Daily Star. "People were standing in queue since last night."
Mohammad Solaiman Hossain, counter master of Hanif Paribahan told The Daily Star that a good number of queued in front of the Hanif Paribahan's Gabtoli counter around 6:30am.
Responding to a query about black marketing of tickets, he said: "We have started selling advance tickets for all routes in North-Bengal from today and there is no chance to go the tickets to the black market."
When asked about excess fare of the advance tickets, he said people are paying the price of the tickets according to the government chart hanged our counter.
The state-run Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) will start the sale on July 10 and Bangladesh Railway on July 9.
