Form medical board for Fakhrul, SC asks BSMMU
The Supreme Court today asked the authorities of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University to form a three-member medical board for examining the heath of BNP leader Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
The apex court asked the authorities to submit a medical report on the health condition of the BNP acting secretary general by July 8.
The four member bench of the Appellate Division head by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha fixed the date (July 8) for passing an order on the government’s petition against the High Court order that granted bail to Fakhrul in the three cases.
The SC would decide whether it would grant bail to Fakhrul after seeing the medical report from the BSMMU, Sagir Hossain Lion, a lawyer for Fakhrul, told The Daily Star.
