Shakib highest T20 wicket-taker for Tigers
Bangladesh's top allrounder Shakib Al Hasan has reached a rare milestone today at the Mirpur stadium, becoming the highest wicket-taker and highest run scorer for his country in T20I cricket.
When Shakib dismissed David Miller during the opening T20I game of the 2-match series against South Africa, he overtook Abdur Razzak's tally.
Razzak, who is now out of the T20 squad, bagged 44 wickets in 34 matches.
Shakib now has 45 wickets to his name, with the best bowling performance of 4/ 21 against Zimbabwe in 2013 at Bulawayo.
The allrounder is currently playing his 37 th T20I for Bangladesh and has a fantastic economy rate of 6.40 runs per over.
On the other hand, Shakib currently holds the record of highest run scorer in T20 format for Bangladesh with 809 runs in 36 innings [before the current match]. Shakib is followed by opener Tamim Iqbal who scored 716 runs in 37 innings.
