Suicide Squad teaser reveals Jared Leto's brutal Joker

Warner Bros. has released the Suicide Squad trailer that it showed at Comic-Con in Hall H on Saturday. The footage leaked soon after the presentation, and the studio spent the last two days trying to erase it off the Internet to no avail. Rather than have a low-quality version continue to circulate online, WB opted to go with officially releasing the trailer in hi-res.

As for the trailer itself, it has a gritty, hard-hitting aesthetic while still feeling unique. And it looks like Ayer had the freedom to create something all his own rather than emulate what Zack Snyder is doing over on the heroic side of the DC Cinematic Universe.

In the trailer, there is Jared Leto's Joker. Warner Bros.' anti-hero film also stars Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Will Smith as Deadshot, Jai Courney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, as well as Jim Parrack, Adam Beach, and Ike Barinholtz.

The film will open on August 5, 2016.
