Detectives to probe Rajon murder

A Sylhet court today ordered police to hand over the case filed over the much-talked about killing of 13-year-old Rajon to detectives for investigation.
The court passed the order while placing Moyna Mia, an accused in the case, on a seven-day remand for interrogation.
"We are preparing the case file for handing it over to the Detective Branch (DB) of police," said Akhtar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Jalalabad Police Station.
Metropolitan Magistrate Md Shahed Ali granted the remand after hearing police’s plea to take him in custody for 10 days, our Moulvibazar correspondent reports.
Metropolitan Magistrate Md Shahed Ali allowed the investigators to interrogate Moyna for seven days in their custody when police produced him before the court after his capture yesterday.
On the other hand, another man Dulal was arrested in the murder case of Rajon around 2:30pm today from Sheikhpara area of Sadar upazila, the OC said. “He was identified from camera footage.”
The boy died under brute torture over what the assaulters said was “theft crime”. The entire incident was filmed by a laughing aide and was later exposed on the social media.
The video sparked outrage in Bangladesh and abroad with cries demanding justice for the murder.
Bangladeshi community in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, has helped local police catch Kamrul Islam, who was seen most active in beating the minor in the widely circulated video.
So far, seven people have been arrested over the murder including prime accused in the case Muhit Alam, a woman Lipi Begum, wife of Kamrul Islam, and suspect Ismail Hossain.
Yesterday, Moyna and Haider Ali was caught.
