Enclave exchange body dissolves Aug 1
The India-Bangladesh Joint Enclave Exchange Coordination Committee will be dissolved after July 31 midnight.
Diptiman Sengupta, a leader of the committee, made the confirmation today, and added that they have a plan to form a joint human rights body after the committee is dissolved, our Kolkata correspondent reports.
The committee will also place a demand on the same day that the places the enclave people will be living in be declared reserved for next four or five years.
Established in 1992, the committee has been carrying out movements for realisation of the exchange of the enclaves.
Meanwhile, all the enclave people will torch 68 candles at every yard of their houses on July 31 midnight to celebrate their independence, Diptiman said.
A two-hour long documentary with protagonist Joynal Abedin, a youth of Moshaldanga, will also be showcased at that time, he added.
Over a hundred media representatives from home and abroad are expected to join the programme, Diptiman said.
