Tokyo plane crash leaves 3 dead
A small plane has crashed into a quiet neighborhood in Tokyo, leaving three people dead, five injured and burning down nearby houses.
Tokyo Fire Department officials said the three suffered heart and lung failures. Five others were taken to hospitals but their conditions were not immediately known.
Television footage showed a mangled plane, broken up with its tail upside down, resting on a residential lot where several house were burned down.
Police say the cause of the crash was not immediately known.
The neighborhood is about 500 meters (yards) from the airport used by small aircraft.
