West Indies won toss and opted to field first.

West Indies beat Sri Lanka by seven wickets in the Super Ten match of ICC World Twenty20 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, India.

West Indies opener Andre Fletcher's prolific unbeaten knock of 84 runs off 64 balls guided his team to a comprehensive victory over the Lankans with 10 balls to spare.

Batting first, Sri Lanka were restricted to 122 runs for nine wickets after they suffered a collapse in the top order losing five quick wickets within nine overs, posting only 47 runs to the scoreboard.

Angelo Mathews and Thisara Perera then added 44 runs in the next 7.3 overs in the sixth wicket partnership. 

In the first delivery of 17th over, Dwayne Bravo picked up Mathews to break the partnership. 

Thisara Perera's late cameo of 40 runs off 29 deliveries pushed Sri Lanka's total to 122 while three more wickets fell in quick succession.

Earlier, West Indies won the toss and opted to field first.
