PAPERTREE
You probably haven't heard of PaperTree yet – the brand new online bookstore established just this year – but whether or not you are a bibliophile, you would want to check it out. From some of the best-selling novels to children's books, Islamic books to cookbooks, PaperTree offers (mainly English) books on a wide variety of genres.
The website (www.papertree.com.bd) is user-friendly and helps you navigate throughout – helping you find the kind of book(s) you're looking for under specific categories with clear descriptive summaries in the approximate price range you want. However, given that PaperTree is in its nascent stage, its collection is still somewhat limited.
PaperTree's selling point seems to be that unlike most other online bookstores in the country, original copies (delivered from the UK) of high-in-demand novels and other books can be pre-ordered or requested, in case the desired book isn't in store, and delivered within 10-14 business days. The price point seems to be reasonable overall taking into account the fact that original copies are sold (prices similar to Boi Bichitra and Zeenat Book Supply in some cases) and some may deem it to be a tad pricey. In short, PaperTree holds promise and whether you are an avid or occasional reader, a professional or otherwise, PaperTree is worth a shot.
