[Watch] Diti sang last song with her daughter

Parveen Sultana Diti was almost unrecognisable – a shaven head, a void expression, glasses propped on her nose – lying on hospital bed and fighting with cancer.

The chemotherapy had cost her the glorious wavy hair. The struggle, it seemed, had taken away all her strength, but she still sang – one last song with her daughter.

“Jiboner mane ki bojha hoto na Ma go tumi bine dekha hoto na,” which translates to “Would not have understood the meaning of life mother, without you would not have seen life” – is the song the two sang together.

Lamia Chowdhury, daughter of the popular ‘90’s actress, shared a homemade video of the beautiful duet on her Facebook profile in remembrance of Diti who passed away on March 20.
