Ctg BNP wants re-election in 30 unions

Chittagong district unit BNP demanded cancellation of today’s union parishad elections alleging widespread irregularities by ruling party men and demanded re-election in those unions.

In all of the 30 unions ruling party men occupied the polling centres, our Chittagong bureau reports quoting Aslam Chowdhury, president of BNP Chittagong (north).

“We urge the Election Commission to cancel today’s election and arrange re-election in all the polling centres,” he said in a press conference held at his residence in the port city.
