Over 500 students blocked the Dhaka’s busiest intersection around 4:30pm, creating traffic gridlock on the adjacent thoroughfares.
The protest continued till 7:00pm.
Witnesses and the family said Sujan was shot by police.
Sarwar Hossain, superintendent of police in the district, however, said neither police nor Border Guard Bangladesh opened fire at the centre.
He claimed that the youth was killed during a clash between two rival groups.
