Muggers shot a student and snatched away Tk 9,000 at Kalabagan in Dhaka early today.

Md Sajib, 20, an honours first year student of Victoria University College in Comilla was shot in Kalabagan area around 12:15am, police said.

Sentu Das, an official at Dhaka Medical College Hospital police outpost endorsed the information. He said Sajib was brought in to the hospital in a wounded state.

“His mother is admitted in Modern Hospital. The muggers came in a Pajero jeep. They shot Sajib, snatched away his mobile phone and Tk 9,000 in Kalabagan area,” the police official said.
