Bangladesh bowling sensation Mustafizur Rahman went on to make yet another scintillating performance with the ball in Sunrisers’ match against Punjab in Indian Premier League 2016.

In today’s match held at Hyderabad, the home ground of Sunrisers, the left-arm pacer delivered one of the most economical figures in the IPL history after skipper David Warner won the toss and opted to field first.

In his four overs with the ball, ‘the Fizz’ finished with 2 wickets for 9 runs at an economy rate of 2.25, while all other Sunrisers bowlers gave away seven or more runs every over.

This is the most economical four-over spell so far in IPL 2016. The previous best was 1 for 10, by Rajat Bhatia.

With a maiden in his first over, Mustafizur went on to bowl 17 dot balls out of his 24 deliveries in the match, and picked up the crucial wickets of Shaun Marsh, who scored 40 off 34 balls, and NS Naik, who played an important role to restrict the Punjab side to 142 runs in 20 overs.

After his third over, Mustafizur had an outstanding figure of 3-1-3-1, which says it all how much his bowling made an impact on Punjab batsmen.

In the last over, he gave six runs, but picked up his second wicket of the match to add more pressure on the bastmen so they failed to reach a bigger total scoring more runs.

None of the Punjab batsmen managed to score a boundary off Mustafizur’s bowling, as he kept tormenting them with his off-cutters and near-perfect yorkers.

In the end, Sunrisers batsmen chased down the target of 144 runs losing five wickets with 13 deliveries to spare, rewarding Mustafizur for his contributions with another win.
