People feeling insecure: Fakhrul

Talking to reporters after a joint meeting of the party held at Bhasani Auditorium in Dhaka, Fakhrul called upon the party men to get united and wage movement to restore democracy and ensure people’s rights.
“Most of the people of the country are now being oppressed in the hands of law enforcement agencies and the ruling Awami League men. At this situation, I call upon all BNP leaders and activists to get united and work for restoration of democracy,” Fakhrul said.
The joint meeting was organised as part of BNP’s preparation to hold May Day rally at the Suhrawardy Udyan, where the BNP chief Khaleda Zia is scheduled to address.
Pointing to the workers’ rally on May 1, Fakhrul said the meeting will be organised at a time when the government is carrying out oppression against the opposition men.
