Younger son also arrested over Bangladeshi couple murder in US

The slain parents, Golam Rabbi and Shamima Rabbi, are seen along with two sons Hasib Bin Golam Rabbi to the right and the younger son. This photo is taken from Facebook.

The younger son was also arrested, a day after his brother was booked, in connection with the slaying of their parents, who were found shot to death inside their San Jose home, reports The Los Angeles Times.

Police say Hasib Bin Golam Rabbi, 22, and his 17-year-old brother are responsible for the deaths of their parents. Hasib Golam Rabbi was arrested in Tracy, California, and his brother was arrested in San Jose on Wednesday.

The couple's bodies were discovered about 1:47 pm Sunday in their Quimby neighborhood home in the 3000 block of Lucas Court.

Police were called to the home to investigate suspicious circumstances and found Shamima Rabbi, 57, and Golam Rabbi, 59, dead. Each had been shot at least once.

Golamrabbi was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of murder, and his brother was booked into the Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of murder, police said Thursday.

There are no other suspects in the case, police said.

The Rabbis were longtime members and volunteers with the South Bay Islamic Association and the Evergreen Islamic Center in San Jose.
