Azizul Hakim back behind the camera
Azizul Hakim's career in TV took off in the '90s, and even now, the actor has his hands full with TV projects. But whenever he gets some time, Hakim likes to take a seat on the director's chair, bringing in all his experience into making TV productions. The latest in that line is tele-film “Golpo Othoba Jibon”, based on a script by his wife, Zinat Hakim. It will air on a satellite channel soon.
Most parts of the tele-film were shot recently at a resort in Narail, and the rest was done at Pubail. Hakim himself plays a central role in the drama, opposite Homayra Himu.
The tele-film tells the story of a writer who goes on a vacation to a resort, where the manager tells the writer the story of his own life. Australian expatriate Rahmat Ullah portrays the character of the writer -- while Dihan, Obid Rehan and another expat, Shafiq, are also in the cast.
About the shooting, Hakim said it was held in a picnic-like environment at the resort, but everyone has done really well. He also said acting and directing simultaneously is a challenge, but he enjoys both so he juggles his interests as best as he can.
Aziziul Hakim has successfully directed a number of drama serials in the past, with the most recent being “Nij Grihe Porobashi”. He is also acting in a few serials, most notably “Jiboner Oligoli”.
