Hours into the Buddhist monk murder in Bandarban, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has termed the killing as an isolated incident and pointed finger at the relatives of the victim.

Unidentified miscreants killed Buddhist monk  Mong Shwe U Chak, 75, by slitting his throat in Naikkhangchhari upazila of Bandarban early today.

“It is an isolated incident and the victim’s relatives are involved with the killing,” Kamal said responding to a questioner at the Rajshahi University today.

Earlier, he attended a rally held on the campus organised by RU Teachers’ Association protesting the murder of Prof Rezaul Karim Siddiquee.
