British envoy calls on Khaleda

British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Alison Blake met with BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at the party’s Gulshan office today.

The hour long meeting began at 5:30pm, Sayrul Kabir Khan, a senior staff of BNP chairperson's media wing, told The Daily Star. 

“This was the first courtesy call of the newly appointed British envoy with the party,” said Sabihuddin Ahmed, an adviser to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.

The meeting was attended by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and advisors Sabihuddin Ahmed and Reaz Rahman.

However, the British high commissioner did not brief the media about the outcome of the meeting.
