RU teacher killing: Arrested Shibir leader dies
A local Shibir leader, who was arrested in connection with the murder of Rajshahi University teacher Prof AFM Rezaul Karim Siddiquee, died at a hospital early today.
Deceased Hafizur Rahman was the Islami Chhatra Shibir secretary of ward No 19 in Rajshahi and a second year student of public administration department of Rajshahi University.

Hafizur died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital around 4:30am due to “irreversible cardio-respiratory failure”, RMCH’s Deputy Director Gazi Saidul Alam Chowdhury told The Daily Star.
He was arrested a day into the gruesome murder of Prof Siddiquee on April 23, police said.

On April 28, a Rajshahi court allowed police to take Hafizur on a four-day remand over the killing. On completion of the remand, he was sent to Rajshahi jail.
Hafizur was admitted to the RMCH on Tuesday after he fell sick in jail, our Rajshahi correspondent reports quoting the doctors.
Prof Siddiquee was brutally murdered in Shalbagan area of Rajshahi city in an attack that police say bears the hallmark of the previous blogger killings in the country.
