Pabna AL man killed

A local Awami League activist was killed by miscreants at Pabna Sadar upazila this afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Ripon, 30, ward unit general secretary of the ruling Awami League of Goyeshpur union of the upazila, our correspondent reports quoting Abdullah Al Hasan, officer-in-charge of Pabna Sadar Police Station.

A group of miscreants equipped with sharp weapon shopped on the victim when he was loitering around his house around 4:30pm, the OC said.

The miscreant managed to flee the scene leaving him dead on the spot. The killing might be an outcome of social conflict, the OC added.
