Khaleda invites Hasina to Iftar party

BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia has invited Awami League President Sheikh Hasina to attend an Iftar party on June 11.

AL General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam and the party’s all presidium members have also been invited to the party to be held at the Basundhara International Convention Centre.

A four-member BNP delegation went to the Dhanmondi office of AL President Sheikh Hasina, also the prime minister, around 11:15 am and handed over the invitation letter.

AL leader and lawmaker Mrinal Kanti Das received the invitation letter on behalf of Sheikh Hasina, Asadul Karim Shaheen, an assistant office secretary of BNP and also a delegation member, told The Daily Star.
