Suicide attack in KSA kills 4 Bangladeshis
Four Bangladesh nationals were killed and four other injured in a suicide bomb attack during Zohr prayer on Thursday at a mosque in Saudi Arabia.
The foreign ministry of Bangladesh issued a press release today in this regard.
Three of the deceased have been identified as Afaz Uddin from Laxmipur, Mohammad Zibon from Comilla and Mainul Mridha from Barisal. They were employed as cleaning workers at Al-Yasra Company. The details of the fourth victim Belal Hossain are yet to be confirmed.
On the other hand, the four injured are Asaduzzaman from Tangail, Nurul Islam from Brahmanbaria, Khokon Miah from Comilla and Md Chan Miah whose details are yet to be confirmed.
Chan Miah was critically injured and was shifted to the Central Military Hospital in Riyadh for better treatment. Other injured are under treatment in the Al-Aseer Central Hospital and they are out of danger.
Representative from Bangladesh Consulate General in Jeddah, visited the spot – Mohamel Cantonment in Abha under Al-Aseer province – immediately after the incident, met the victims and contacted their family members and employers as well as other concerned Saudi authorities.
Mortal remains of the deceased will be sent back to Bangladesh or will be buried in KSA according to the desire of the family members of the victims, the press release added.
Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh and Bangladesh Consulate General in Jeddah are constantly monitoring the situation and coordinating with all concerned parties with highest priority.
