Mysteries behind ‘Budget Shopping’ revealed!

Eid is almost always synonymous to wearing new outfits, donning the latest jewelry, buying the trendiest shoes, bags and what not! It has been culturally accepted that every Eid we must have a new wardrobe or at least add a thing or two to the old one. Individuals, who are restricted to living their lives on a budget, fall in a dilemma before any special occasion. They suffer from terrible anxiety and experience the fear of failing at maintaining their monthly budget while chipping-in the cost of the new items.

Additionally there is the age old predicament -- does a budgeted lifestyle mean buying substandard clothes? Our answer to the inquiry: Not necessarily!

Here in this article, we try to show how everyone can stay within their budgets while shopping for a trendy and complete look on any special occasion including Eid.  Hence, we took the challenge and ventured out to do shop within three set limits of 2000tk, 5000tk and 10,000tk.

Our destination was Deshi Dosh, which has an array of deshi designers' products all within the range of our specific budgets. The outlets we visited at Deshi Dosh wereNipun, ShadaKalo, Bishwa Rang, Kay Kraft, Shrishty, Bibiana,Anjan's, Deshal, BanglarMela andNogorDola.

Our first challenge was to find something within the range of 2000tk and surprisingly we got many attractive items.

2000tk

At most of the stores, we obtained nice cotton saris, with block prints and screen prints, beginning at the price of 1500tk. There was also a remarkable collection of sophisticated kota saris within the given range. All the saris were extremely comfortable and worth wearing on the morning of Eid. This look can be paired up with glass bangles or clay ornaments, all within our range.

Few stores within Deshi Dosh displayed an amazing ensemble of three-piece shalwar kameez suits, with ethnic embroideries and motifs, surprisingly within the budgeted range of 2000tk. These bright coloured cotton shalwarkameezsets can definitely be a good option to wear on Eid day, especially in the heat of the summer. This look can easily be paired off with metal dangling earrings, or stone studs to complete the look.

5000tk

While browsing through Deshi Dosh, we were amazed to find that 5000tk was a good budget to get half silk saris, embroidered with ethnic designs. All the colours available were suitable for both summer and the monsoon. If your budget is 5000tk, you can definitely be able to afford a look worth wearing at dazzling night parties. For e.g. if you get a sari within the range of 2500tk to 3500tk, the rest of the money can be spent getting Mughal style metal based costume jewelry. The completed look will definitely outshine others.

10000tk

If your budget is this high, our suggestion is to buy two different sets of dresses rather than just one. Maybe buy a kameez within the range of 3000tkfor day wear and with the rest 7000tk spend it on a gorgeous sari worth wearing at night parties.

The general picture of the story is that, budget shopping does not mean cheap and substandard shopping. Instead, it means sensible shopping that is also trendy and guilt-free.
