RMG worker stabbed dead in Ashulia

Unknown miscreants stabbed a garment factory worker to death near his house in Ashulia, on the outskirts of Dhaka, early today.

The deceased is Shumon Sikder, 30, son of one Aftab Ali Sikder, reports a correspondent from Ashulia.

Some unidentified miscreants hacked Shumon mercilessly when he went out of his house at Jamgora Kathalbagan around 1:00am, family members claimed.

Hearing Shumon’s screams, locals rushed to the spot and took him to a local hospital where doctors declared him death.

Mohoshinul Qadir, officer-in-charge of Ashulia Police Station, confirmed the incident but could not ascertain any reason behind the killing.

Meanwhile, police recovered the body of an unidentified man from the same village today.

Both the bodies were sent to the hospital for autopsy. Separate cases have been filed.
