Train rams car in Jessore, 3 killed

A train rammed a private car on a level crossing in Jessore Sadar upazila today leaving three people dead and one other injured.

One Chayan Sarker, 10, was among the dead while his mother Deepika Rani sustained injuries, our Benapole correspondent reports quoting police. Identities of others could not be ascertained.

A train that came in from Khulna rammed the private car at Mathurapur in Teerer Haat area around 11:00am, said Illias Hossain, officer-in-charge of Jessore Kotowali Model Police Station.

The bodies were kept to Jessore General Hospital. Further details were awaited.
