Eng to tour in September?
England are set to tour Bangladesh for the first time since 2010 in September and will play two Tests and three one-day-internationals according to a tentative itinerary published on CricInfo.
According to the schedule, England are likely to arrive in Dhaka for only their third multi-format tour of Bangladesh on September 30, before playing one warm-up match in Fatullah on October 4.
The ODI series will kick off after that, with the first ODI on October 7 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. The second will take place at the same venue on the ninth, before moving to Chittagong for the third and final ODI.
The visitors will then play two further warm-up games at the MA Aziz Stadium before the start of the first Test on October 24. The series will conclude in Dhaka where the second and final Test will be played from October 28.
In the 2010 series, when they played the same number of Tests and ODIs, England swept the Tigers 3-0 in the ODI series and 2-0 in the Test series.
The only highlight of that tour for Bangladesh came when Shakib Al Hasan was named man of the match for the second and final Test at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium despite England winning by nine wickets.
Shakib had scored 49 and 96 respectively, and picked up four wickets.
Despite Bangladesh's excellent form in the 50-over format throughout 2015, they will be a bit rusty having played only Twenty20s throughout 2016.
