Rio Olympics 2016: Shaymoly bow out
Archer Shyamoly Roy made a predictable first-round exit from the recurve bow event of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games when she lost her bout against Mexico's Gabriela Bayard at the Sambodromo Stadium in Rio de Janeiro last night.
Finished 53rd out of 64 competitors in the ranking round, Shaymoly failed to put up a decent fight against the Mexican, losing the first set of three shots 27-28, the second by 23-28 and the third by 25-28.
The young Bangladeshi archer, who took part in a number of international events before winning a wild card for Rio Games, however rued the lack of preparation for her poor score in the ranking round.
