Jubo Dal activist killed in Ctg

A ward-level activist of Jubo Dal, youth front of BNP, was allegedly stabbed to death in broad daylight by miscreants in Chittagong city today.

The deceased was identified as Saidul Islam, a Jubo Dal worker of ward no-24 of Chittagong city, reports our correspondent.

The victim’s elder brother, Md Wasim, alleged that local Awami League activists led by one Sohel swooped on Saidul when he was returning home from a laundry shop at Sagorika Road area around 1:00pm.

The attackers stabbed in Saidul’s chest indiscriminately and then hacked him on the spot, Tapan Kanti Mallik, sub-inspector of Pahartali Police Station police, said quoting Zahid Hossain, an eyewitness.

Later, locals sent the victim to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital where the doctors declared him dead.

Abu Johar, joint convener of the Juba Dal of Pahartali upazila unit, said Saidul was a ward level worker of the youth front.
