bKash agent shot, robbed off Tk 4 lakh in Baridhara

Unidentified muggers shot a bKash agent and robbed Tk four lakh from an outlet in Baridhara area of Dhaka this morning.

The victim Jahirul Islam Jahir, 25, who runs a shop in Nurer Chala Bazar, was shot on his thigh around 10:30am, Nurul Mustakin, officer-in-charge of Bhatara Police Station told The Daily Star.

Three unidentified miscreants stormed the shop of Jahir and started slapping a bKash employee present in the shop at that time, suspecting that he was carrying a big amount of money, the police official said.

Finding no cash on the employee, the thugs then shot Jahir on his thigh.

Later, Jahir was whisked off to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).

He received bullets both in his thighs and he was robbed off Tk 4 lakh by the hoodlums, said police sources of DMP police outpost.
