Hamid inquires about condition of Pranab’s wife

President Abdul Hamid today called his Indian counterpart over phone to inquire about the health condition of his wife now undergoing treatment at Army Hospital there.

“President Abdul Hamid phoned Indian President Pranab Mukherjee and inquired about the health condition of his wife Suvra Mukherjee, who has been ill for some time, was admitted to hospital on Friday evening,” Joynal Abedin, press secretary to the president, told The Daily Star.

The two presidents talked for five minutes, he added.  

Indian president thanked Abdul Hamid for the courtesy call, he said.  

"She is suffering from respiratory problem. She is a heart patient and has been kept in the ICU," a hospital spokesperson told IANS.
