Aurier due in court for assault
Controversial Paris Saint-Germain full-back Serge Aurier is due in court on Monday to answer a charge of elbowing a police officer.
The 23-year-old Ivory Coast international is accused of assaulting a police officer after he was stopped in May when leaving a Parisian nightclub in the early hours of the morning.
The incident turned violent after Aurier was asked to take a breath test and step out of his Porsche Cayenne.
He is accused of elbowing an officer in the chest resulting in the policeman needing a day off work.
Aurier denies the charge and has filed a complaint against the police for assaulting him, saying he was left with split lip and a mark on his eyebrow.
Aurier's court appearance comes just two days before PSG play Ludgorets in the Champions League in Bulgaria.
