Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim today said his ministry will introduce a digital tracking device to prevent leakage of question papers ahead of the medical admission test this year.

The ministry has also appointed an independent expert to manage the medical admission test to make the efforts a success, Nasim added.

"There will be a strong monitoring system equipped with a digital tracking device. Thus, there will be no possibility of leakage," Nasim said while addressing a view exchange meeting with Bangladesh Health Reporters Forum (BHRF) on medical admission tests.

The admission test for MBBS will be held on October 7 and Bachelor of Dental Surgery on November 4.

A total of 90,426 candidates will sit for the admission tests against 11264 seats in all public and private medical and dental colleges across the country.

The new initiatives have been taken as there are widespread allegations of question paper leakages in the previous admission tests.

Medical coaching centres are allegedly linked with such dishonest practices of question paper leakages.

Nasim said he received allegations against medical coaching centres in this regards and warned that all coaching centres will be closed if they are found responsible for irregularities like leaking test papers.
