Vidya dubbing for “Kahaani 2” despite illness
Vidya Balan will be dubbing for her Sujoy Ghosh directorial “Kahaani 2”, though she is recovering from her illness as the film is scheduled to release next month.
Vidya, who was diagnosed with dengue in mid-September, was advised complete bed rest. Nevertheless, the National-award winning actor decided to make ample use of this time.
While she was at home, she began preparing for her next film, in which she is playing the late poetess Kamala Surayya, aka Kamala Das.
A source says, “Vidya is a thorough professional. She loves her job. As Sujoy's (Ghosh) film will release in November, she wants to fulfill her commitments and stick to the timeline for dubbing the film. She does not wish to cause any inconvenience to the film's cast and crew. However, she is still recovering from dengue, and won't start shooting for the movie on Das immediately.”
“Kahaani 2”, the sequel to Sujoy's 2012 mystery thriller “Kahaani”, will see Vidya return as Vidya Bagchi, and will be joined by Arjun Rampal and Jugal Hansraj. The first film was reviewed well by critics and audiences alike, and was remade in Telegu and Tamil.
