Bangladesh warm up with wins

Bangladesh men's kabaddi team yesterday handed a comprehensive 41-30 point defeat to Thailand in a preparation match in Ahmedabad ahead of the Third World Cup Kabaddi, which is scheduled to begin on October 7.

It was Bangladesh's third straight win in practice matches as they had earlier beaten Surat District kabaddi team of Ahmedabad and Kenya by 56-16 points and 49-24 points respectively. Bangladesh had lost against Thailand by 36-37 points in the Asian Games two years ago.

Bangladesh will start their World Cup campaign by taking on England on October 8 and then they will play against holders India (Oct 11), South Korea (Oct 13), Australia (Oct 17) and Argentina (Oct 19).
