Marking the birth anniversary of iconic littérateur Humayun Ahmed, Channel i organised its annual 'Himu Mela', for the fifth year running. Sponsored by Dew, the programme saw fans of Humayun Ahmed dress up in the signature yellow Panjabi of his famous fictional character Himu, while family members of the author and other noted cultural personalities, including his widow Meher Afroz Shaon, his publishers Mazharul Islam (Onyoprakash) and Farid Ahmed (Somoy Prakashon), artistes Khurshid Alam, Fakir Alamgir and Selim Chowdhury and others. Songs and dance performances, books of Humayun Ahmed and CD and DVDs of his films were also set up.
