I don’t want to die young: Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo has told Spain's Libero magazine that his greatest fear is dying at a young age.
Ronaldo, 30, said he wanted to live into his 80s or 90s and explained that his inspiration in life came from the people around him.
"My greatest fear is dying young," he said in quotes reported by Marca. "I don't want to die young. I want to die an old man, at 80 or 90 years old.
"The people around me always spur me on. They are a source of good vibes and positive energy, and that's the most important thing for me."
Ronaldo said his aim was "to try to always be the best, year in, year out, and train hard to push myself to the max."
He added: "In the last eight, nine or 10 years I think that has worked pretty well for me, so I'll try to go on doing the same.
"I try to enjoy the moment. I like playing football, and I want the fans to enjoy it as much as I do."
The Portugal captain said that he tried to "do normal things" when out of the spotlight, and that his favourite pastime was playing with his young son.
