Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Huq today said freedom fighter certificate of former PMO secretary Molla Waheeduzzaman has been scrapped.

The certificate of Waheeduzzaman, who is currently serving as chairman of Bangladesh Privatisation Commission with the status of a state minister, was found forged, the minister added.

Earlier, the liberation war affairs ministry issued a gazette scrapping the freedom fighter certificates of three secretaries and one joint secretary to the public administration ministry.

“Considering his statement, Molla was given a chance. But he could not provide any valid evidence in support of his claim. That’s why we have scrapped his certificate,” the minister said.
