3 ‘human traffickers’ held in Cox’s Bazar
Three people were detained today in Cox’s Bazar for their alleged involvement with human trafficking.
The arrestees -- Ali Ahmed, 45, of Teknaf and Syed Ahmed, 30, and Imam Hossain, 30, of Ukhia upazila – are the top human traffickers and accused in several cases related with trafficking, said Shyamal Kumar Nath, superintendent of police in Cox’s Bazar.
Police arrested Ali Ahmed in Sabrang area of Teknaf around 7:00pm while Syed Ahmed and Hossain were detained respectively from Sararpara and Tolatoli villages of Ukhia this morning, our Cox’s Bazar correspondent quoted the police official.
