Conway left behind

Bangladesh physio Dean Conway did not travel with the national team to Sri Lanka yesterday. According to Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials, Conway had to deal with some contractual issues and as a result is expected to join the team after a couple of days.

Regarding the issue, BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury said: “He has some administrative and banking matters that need to be resolved and that will take some time. That's the reason he did not go with the team. We are working on that right now. Hopefully he will join the team in the next two to three days.”  

Earlier, sources from the BCB and reports published in various dailies suggested that Conway reportedly had a salary-related issue.

However, Nizamuddin, while speaking to The Daily Star yesterday, denied the claims.
