Anamul leaves for Lahore
Opener Anamul Haque left for Lahore yesterday to take part in the final of the Pakistan Super League.
He will be playing for the Quetta Gladiators, a team which has signed five overseas players to replace the cricketers who had played for them in the first segment of the competition in the UAE.
Aside from Anamul, Morne Van Wyk from South Africa, Zimbabwe's Elton Chigumbura and Sean Ervine and West Indies' Rayad Emrit will be playing Lahore.
Anamul had applied for a no-objection certificate (NOC) from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) earlier this week and the BCB had taken a day to decide Anamul's fate. It was learnt that the board decided to provide Anamul with the NOC after it came to know that other foreign players would play the final.
