2 caretakers hacked to death in Ctg shrine

Miscreants allegedly killed two caretakers of a shrine by hacking them with sharp weapons in Bangla Bazar area of Chittagong city this afternoon.

The deceased Kader Hossain and other unidentified man age between 60 and 65 were caretakers of a local shrine, our Chittagong correspondent reports quoting Jahir Hossain, a sub-inspector of Bayazid Bostami Police Station.

A group of miscreants entered the local shrine and killed the duo by hacking them with sharp weapons around 2:00pm, the SI said.

The assailants also blasted a crude bomb inside the shrine and managed to flee the shrine leaving them dead on the spot, he added.

The victim’s bodies were sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

The motive and further details of the crime was not available when the reports was filed around 3:50pm.
